Chelsea Fischer is a litigator whose practice focuses on family law. She works on a variety of custody, placement, and child support matters. She has experience in divorce, post-divorce, and paternity cases. Chelsea understands that each family is different and requires individualized representation. Her goal is to assist and guide parents through the complexities of family-related litigation.

Chelsea knew she wanted to become a lawyer even as a child. "A close family member went through a divorce when I was growing up. Seeing the co-parenting relationship they were able to achieve and how successful the children were, showed me the impact the law could have on a family." This solidified Chelsea's decision to devote herself to helping families.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Chelsea worked in customer service. "This experience prepared me to be an explainer. I've learned how to discuss concepts in a way that people can walk away from a meeting and understand what has been said." It is very important to Chelsea that her clients be fully aware of the legal process they are experiencing.

Chelsea graduated from University of Wisconsin – La Crosse summa cum laude with degrees in Public Administration and Political Science. She received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. During school, Chelsea earned a concentration in family law by participating in the Family Court Clinic for a year and taking courses in domestic violence. In 2016, Chelsea won the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Leonard Loeb Award for excellence in family law and dedication to community service.

When not practicing law, Chelsea spends her free time with friends and family. She loves music and attends the Rock County Fair concerts as often as possible. Chelsea has always been actively involved in choirs and is a member of the Janesville Choral Union. She likes to de-stress by taking yoga classes at the YMCA. Chelsea has practiced tae kwon do since childhood and is a first degree black belt. She is currently serving on the event and fundraising committee for the Janesville Boys and Girls Club. She spends her summer weekends up north fishing, practicing archery, and boating.
